1. Your Rights Under the CCPA

If you are a resident of California, the CCPA provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information. These rights include:

In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information from Site visitors who submit service requests:

• Identifiers — such as name and phone number, provided by you when submitting a service request.

• Geolocation data — ZIP code, provided by you to enable local contractor matching.

• Internet or other electronic network activity information — such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically.

• Inferences drawn from the above — such as service preferences inferred from your service type selection.

We do not collect sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, health data, or biometric data.

3. Do We "Sell" Personal Information?

Under the CCPA, "selling" personal information is broadly defined and may include sharing personal information with third parties for valuable consideration, even if no money changes hands.

Our core business model involves sharing your name, phone number, ZIP code, and service request details with independent HVAC contractors in our network so they can contact you. This sharing is the fundamental purpose of our referral service and may constitute a "sale" of personal information under the CCPA's broad definition.

If you do not wish for your personal information to be shared with contractors in our network, you should not submit a service request through our Site. The matching function cannot be performed without sharing your information with contractors.

To opt out of any other potential sale of your personal information (e.g., to analytics or advertising partners not related to your specific service request), please use the contact method provided in Section 5.

4. How to Exercise Your Rights

To submit a verifiable consumer request to know, delete, or opt out of the sale of your personal information, please contact us using the email address below.

Your request must include sufficient information for us to verify your identity and locate your personal information in our systems. We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 10 business days and respond to verifiable requests within 45 calendar days, with a possible 45-day extension if necessary.

You may designate an authorized agent to make a CCPA request on your behalf. The authorized agent must provide written authorization from you, and we may still require you to directly verify your identity.
