Mini-Split or Heat Pump?
A mini-split is a ductless system — one outdoor unit and one or more wall- or ceiling-mounted indoor heads, with no ducts required. It fits room additions, garages, and older homes with no ductwork at all, or heating and cooling just the rooms that need it. A heat pump, as the term is used on this site, means a whole-home system — usually tied into existing ductwork, or replacing a furnace and central AC outright. Repair or Replace?
